Scam vs Trusted Ptc Sites

Before joining a ptc site you should always do a research on the internet to see if it’s trusted or not or what are people saying about it.

In the next few paragraphs I will present you some of the things you could take in consideration when checking a ptc site and also you will find a couple of sites where you can find real information about scam and trusted ptcs.

1. First of all – take a look at the fee they perceive from their advertisers and then compare it to the fee they are paying to the members. If they pay the members more than they ask from their advertisers then the website is not financially sustainable. In other words they don’t make a profit from it and it will not last for long, even if you can’t seem to find complaints about it, yet.

2. Make a short research on Google with the name of the ptc domain you are verifying followed by the word “scam”. If people are complaining about that particular ptc site you will find it in the first result pages for sure.

3. There should always be a forum for the members to discuss their issues. Check if the ptc has a forum and take a close look in the forum. See if there are complaints or issues to be solved and how exactly the admin is answering to those posts. If there aren’t complaints of any kind, or bugs or issues to solve then probably the admin is removing the inconvenient posts. A ptc site like that is 80% scam.

4. Go to whois.net and do a search for the ptc’s domain. You can find there when the website was registered, where was it registered, what hosting service is using. If it is a free hosting or a free domain or even in a country you’ve never heard of then it is not a trustworthy ptc site. If the owner is not willing to invest in his business the minimum amount possible then he will not invest in his members either.

5. Take a look at the ads shown in the member area. If the majority of the ads lead to threads in its own forum or to different offers also from its own website then the ptc is not trustworthy. Think about it for a second. Why should someone be happy to pay you to see things you already see in the member area?!… Even if it pays you once, the ptc is not going to last with this kind of profit strategy.

6. The website looks totally unprofessional. Like I said above, if the owner is not willing to invest something in his business it’s hard to believe he will invest in his members.

7. You get more than $0.01/click. If you see something like that then it should ring the bell. For more than $0.01 per click advertisers could use Adwords for targeted people. If you find a ptc that pays you like $0.07, I don’t recommend wasting your time with it.

8. If the ptc asks you to upgrade in order to receive your payments then it is not trustworthy. Beside the fact that you might pay the money to upgrade and never get the money you earned earlier from clicking, a trusted ptc pays its members even with a standard membership.

9. On the front page the payout is $2 and in the Terms of Service the payout is $10.

These are first things you should check before joining a ptc site. It may take a couple of minutes, but it’s worth the effort. It’s not pleasant at all to work a few days or more and at the end to see it’s all a big scam.

Things To Do Before Joining Ptc sites

The first thing would be… use a valid email address. I personally use a Google Mail account for this and I’m satisfied with it because it doesn’t block the messages.

The second thing you need to take care of is … a payment processor account. Most of the PTC websites are paying you through AlertPay.

AlertPay is a good alternative to PayPal. It’s on the market for several years now, and it’s trusted by the majority of the ptc websites.

I do not recommend you sign up with ptc sites before registering with an AlertPay account, because it’s possible for your request to be denied and, therefore you will not be eligible of withdrawing money from your ptc accounts. First of all check if you can make an account with AlertPay, register, wait for the approval and then you can sign up for earning money with ptc sites.

You can use the link below to make an AlertPay account right now…

Some of the ptc websites use AlertPay and Paypal. PayPal is another payment processing company owned by eBay. It is used by millions of people worldwide and I don’t think you’ve never heard about it before. If you already have a Paypal account it is ok, you can use it with some of the ptc sites, if not you can use the link below to make an account right now…

This being said what’s left to do now is - find trusted ptc sites and start earning money.

How Much Can You Earn From Ptc Sites

This was the question that came in my mind when I’d found the ptc sites for the first time. Now, the answer for this question is different from one ptc to another.

For example if you click on 6 ads/day each bringing you $0.01 and with $0.01 earned for every referral click, here’s what you will have at the end of the day:

$0.06 for your clicks

and

$1.20 for your referrals clicks (let’s say you have only 20 referrals)

Then, your daily earnings will become $1.26; your monthly earning will be $ 37.8; annual earning….well you got the point…

This example was for only 6 ads per day and only 20 referrals, but usually there is nothing stopping you from getting more and more people signup to these kind of websites, and also usually there are more than 6 ads per day on a free membership (a paid membership brings you either more ads per day either better paid ads).

Now you can say ….”I don’t know how to bring referrals” and still you would have no problem at all because you can buy referrals, or even rent them from your ptc site. There is still a downside to renting referrals, and that is – some of them will be inactive therefore will not help you too much, so you could start renting small packages of refs, see how they work and then pass on to a bigger package.

Most of all you shouldn’t rush in buying refs if you do not trust the ptc 100%. First search for information about that ptc, then test it and only after you had no problems with it you can go further with buying/renting refs.

PTC Sites TOS-Terms of Service

Before you register for a ptc membership, make sure you read their terms of service. This is the most important step you will have to make because if you don’t, you might work a few days or weeks for free.

Some of the ptcs have a lot of strange rules, I have even seen something like: “if you are a Chinese you will have to make a premier account (paid membership) in order to be accepted as a member and earn money”. This rule was presented as an antifraud measure against the Chinese hackers (although I can’t figure it out how this will stop the hacking). To me it seemed more like an opportunity to force the people to upgrade.

Anyway, it’s their website and if you want to join, sooner or later you will have to respect their rules.

You must be careful because in the TOS is mentioned something about inactivity. If you don’t have activity in your account more than 2-3 weeks, the account will be suspended, and the worst part is that you can’t make another account from the same IP address. If you do not click your ads in one day, on the next day you will not receive the share from your referrals earnings.

By the way, I saw on another PTC something like this: if you do not invest in your account you will not be eligible of earning more than $10… meaning you will have to upgrade to paid membership or buy/rent referrals if you want to earn more than the amount specified.

I also found rules like: “you cannot earn more than 2x or 3x the amount you’ve invested in the ptc website” or ”you cannot bring more than 100 referrals”.

In the end I would say - read carefully the TOS of every ptc site you consider joining.

How Does A PTC Site Work

Usually every PTC site comes with a number of ads which you have to click on in order to earn the money

Every ad presented in your members area can be clicked only once in 24h. After you‘ve clicked on the ad you will have to wait a number of seconds in order to receive the credits. In the most common situations you will have to wait 30s.

At the end of those 30s, in the top left side of your browser window will appear a small icon which may vary from one PTC to another: a checkmark or a dollar sign… something like in the following picture:

When that kind of icon shows up it means you will receive your money, but there are cases when a red button/sign appears showing that somehow you missed the credit for that ad (this happens sometimes when you have more than one browser windows opened in the same time):

Anyway, to be sure that you will receive the credits for every ad you click, all you have to do is check carefully the TOS for each PTC site.

If you respect their rules you will most certainly receive your credits and also credits from your referrals work.

What Is a PTC Site

For those of you that never had contact with a ptc site, here is a simplistic definition of this kind of website:

A ptc is a website that pays its member for the ads they click and view, on a daily basis.

In a detailed explanation, a ptc is the connection between advertisers and its potential clients (in this case the ptc’s members). The advertiser pays a fee to the ptc and then the ptc shares a part of that fee with its members, with the only condition that the members click and view the ads.

I hope the next image will make you understand better how things work:

So, in order to earn money from a ptc site, you will have to click on a list of ads shown in your ptc member area, on a daily basis. Why on a daily basis?-because usually the ptc sites penalize the inactivity.

The number of ads in a list differs from one ptc to another, but there are no more than 15-20 ads in 24 hours.

Clicking the ads can bring you from $0.001/click to $0.01/click. I know that doesn’t seem too much, but if you count the fact that you will click on more than 5 ads/ptc/day, and also you will be active in more than 5 ptcs, and… you can earn also from every referral you bring to a ptc site…well the amount earned increases considerably.

Every ptc has its own terms of service, rules and regulations, but also each one comes with a bunch of other offers for you like bonuses, contests, earn money from reading emails, earn money from signups. These particular things you will discover within every ptc member area.

One thing is also worth mentioning is that once you register to a ptc, your IP address is saved somewhere in their databases and you cannot hold 2 accounts to the same ptc, from the same computer (excepting the fact that no ptc allows its members to have more than 1 membership account).
